To all my Patients,

The time has come for me to move on and retire from Cancer Center Associates,

It is with very mixed emotions that this decision is being made. There is no doubt that I will miss doing what I have enjoyed doing for so many years, however, I know it's time for me now to step back. September 1st, 2023 will be my last day seeing patients.

I would like to thank all of you for making my career such a wonderful and memorable one. It has been my absolute privilege to be a part of your lives. I started Cancer Center Associates over 40 years ago with the intent to serve the community through healing. Through the years I have been honored to become a part of this community and a part of your lives. Thank you.

From my days researching at the Wadley Institute, to founding CCA at St Paul Hospital, to moving CCA to McKinney, my steadfast devotion to you, my patients, has never wavered. You have all impacted my life in more ways than you will ever know. I will always be humbled and appreciative that you have allowed me to be a part of your life's journey. And you have been part of mine. It has been a unique opportunity and a gift. I will carry your stories with me as I move forward into this next phase of my life enjoying my grandchildren and writing poetry.

Sultan Chowdhary and the care team at CCA will continue to provide you with quality compassionate care. Dr. Chowdhary has been a part of CCA for many years and I trust that he will take care of you. I hope that it will be a seamless transition, and I know you will be well taken care of in the practice.

Cancer Center Associates will continue to maintain custodianship of your medical records, which will be made available to you upon request.

Amanullah Khan

Dr. Chowdhary has obtained further specialized training in high dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. In addition, he has held numerous medical teaching assignments throughout his career and been a speaker at multiple medical conferences. Dr. Chowdhary remains passionate about his oncology and hematology practice. Personal experiences within his own family have convinced him that highly skilled and dedicated medical professionals are crucial to successful oncology care. He is devoted to providing that care, in conjunction with his state of the art knowledge. He has provided such care to Cancer Center Associates patients since 1995 and looks forward to helping others in the future.

Dr. Mohammad completed his internal medicine residency in June 2014 at North Well Health Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY where he continued to work as the Chief Medical Resident until June 2015. He remained at North Well Health Staten Island University  where he began his Hematology/ Oncology fellowship in July 2015 until joining us at Rena Tarbet Cancer Center in July 2018

Native to Minnesota Mary Moved to Texas in 1973 and has been with Cancer Center Associates since 1984, starting as a patient volunteer. Mary is focused on patient-centered care, meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients for over 30 years.  Mary enjoys traveling and spending time with her Son, Daughter-in-Law and Grandson. You can find Mary serving her community alongside our resident therapy dog, Lelia

Raji is a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and experienced Infusion room RN with requisite skill set to access, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic care complaints across life-span, she joined the practice in 2017. She has excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, initiative, creativity, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility.

Eve Johnson has been with the practice since 2017. She has over sixteen years of experience in nursing and has worked in healthcare in areas such as medical-surgical, critical care, and primary care. Eve graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2017. Her goal is to provide collaborative care with the Oncologists and educate patients on their diagnosis, disease processes, and treatment options. She is married with two children and enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending time with family.
